Owned and operated by women, Sugar Plum implements a global standard to our business that is beneficial socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable.
Sugaring is an ancient art, dating back to 1900BC. Sugar Plum is the first company to create a USDA Organic & Fair Trade Sugar Paste, made up of sugar, water, and citric acid from fermented mushrooms. One of the benefits of sugaring on a regular basis is that hair growth can noticeably decrease between four and eight visits.
Our sugaring technicians are committed to providing quality service. They are professionally trained and their goal is to give each guest the most comfortable experience possible.
We take pride in educating our guests on their beauty care choices, providing sugaring hair removal that supports people and the planet.

Camilla Fogle - Founder & Owner
Camilla has been working in the spa industry since 1996. She moved home to Washington State in 2000 and started working with natural skin care ingredients. This education taught her how to treat her own cystic acne. The transition to esthetics, in 2002, was an organic one, allowing her to combine her massage skills and love of holistic skin care. Camilla was named “Top Waxer in Seattle” by Allure in April 2005. Later that same year, she learned the art of Sugaring. Camilla used her years of thorough quick hair removal services to create Sugar Plum's proprietary speed sugaring techniques.
April - Director of Education
April loves being a sugar technician educator. Her favorite moment is when the light bulb goes on and her students realize that they can do this! Before starting with Sugar Plum in the summer of 2013, she had already spent twenty years in the beauty industry, and sixteen of those were as an educator. She was one of the first recognized master estheticians in the state of Washington and helped teach the first class accredited for master estheticians. What inspires her most about Sugar Plum, is the focus on changing women’s lives and empowering women to make decisions for their futures. In her opinion, this is best company she has ever worked for, exemplifying respect, integrity, and trust. What she enjoys most about sugaring is that it's clean and green. It’s kind to the skin and takes some talent to pull off. When not at Sugar Plum, she likes to grow things in her garden, create art, and be in the wilderness.
Roq - Director of Studio Operations
Roq is a lady of many accomplishments, graduating Valedictorian from Paroba College, honored with the title of one of Washington State's first Master Esthetician endorsements, and holding licenses in both Cosmetology and as a Master Educator. Her drive to be the best in the industry pushes her to excel in all her services. Most recently, Roq learned the art of Facial Planing and plans to bring it to the Sugar Plum team. For her, educating guests on how they can be their most beautiful selves is an integral component of providing the best beauty services available. When she's not at Sugar Plum, Roq spends her time with the dozen's of children she's raised as a long time foster parent. Her love for people shows in the many lives she's touched.
Justin - Sustainability & Operations Manager
Justin was drawn to Sugar Plum by its social and environmental mission to transform the spa industry through innovation in business structure, sustainability and vision. What he enjoys most about sugaring is how gentle it is on his skin, leaving no irritation or feelings of harshness. Utilizing his background with various sustainability organizations, Justin supports the business side of making Sugar Plum more sustainable. He has lived in a few areas of the country, growing up in D.C. and Virginia before making Seattle his new home, where nearly all of his free time is spent with his three-year-old twin daughters.
Jessica - Corporate Office Director
Jessica spent the past decade helping students fall in love with the beauty industry as the Director of Admissions at Paroba College and prior to that, The Greenwood Academy may it rest in peace--it’s now a bar, woohoo! Licensed since 2006 as a Cosmetologist and Cosmetology Educator at a college that taught Sugaring, she saw first hand the many benefits and how friendly it is to the planet. Jessica was drawn to Sugar Plum by the rave reviews of their employees, many that were graduates of hers. Jessica has always called the PNW her home. She spent many years in the local art scene as the co-founder and performer of a burlesque troupe. She now spends most of her time geeking out with her husband and two small minions. She finds zen in late night lap swimming and her underwater iPod, which has changed her life!
Tina - Assistant Studio Manager
After many years in the skincare and spa industry, Tina has most recently fallen totally in love with sugaring! What she absolutely adores most about sugaring is its natural properties and the eco-consciousness of Sugar Plum’s company philosophy. She prides herself in creating a warm, welcoming, and comfortable atmosphere for all who come near. The other half of Tina’s life is spent as a certified yoga teacher, teaching as a local studio. She believes that each of us have the power to manifest our deepest desires and that through the practice of yoga, we can heighten our abilities to receive our dreams. A thriving life for her is one in perfect balance of body, mind, and spirit. Yoga is that balance for her.
Rachel - Receptionist
Rachel is a lover of all animals (especially cats), people, and the planet! The mission of Sugar Plum of inclusivity, LGBT+ activism, and sustainability all ring true for her. Sugaring impresses her because it is environmentally friendly, concocted with all natural ingredients. For fun, she enjoys creative pursuits like reading, writing, and sketching. Her favorite way to relax is with a cup of tea and netflix. She grew up in Seattle in a large family, and that is probably where she got such a big heart! When you talk with her, you can be sure you’ll receive a compassionate ear.
